Status Report 1 (9/28)
a) I am honestly not far into the creation of my electronic portfolio. I am having a difficult time deciding what tool to use because I am not familiar with any of the tools that we have used thus far. Since I am an indecisive person, the amount of choices has become a problem for me personally. I also am extremely busy, so I have pushed this to the back of the list of things to do each week. I have been exploring some of the sites that we have been introduced to, so I need to narrow down my ideas and start the actual process of working on my portfolio. I also am having a hard time finding artifacts. My computer that I had the first few years of college died last year and I lost everything that I had saved on it. Unfortunately, that was most of the essays, papers, and artifacts I could have used. I have been searching, but I am finding it quite frustrating because I feel like I have very few artifacts other than those I can find by going through past emails.
b) My additional categories will focus on my work in the schools. I tutored the last two years and have spent quite a bit of time in the classroom, so I would like to find a way to create a category focusing on this aspect of my educational career. I would also like to use a category focusing on the creative aspect of learning. In this category, I would like to share artifacts that will help me stay a motivational teacher willing to allow students to express their creative sides.
c) My initial ideas for a theme focus on puzzle pieces focusing on the quote "There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle" by Deepak Chopra. I would like to be the type of teacher that makes every student feel like they are a part of something great, so this would be a nice way to show that side of my teaching philosophy.

My EP has been going along much better lately. I have posted several artifacts under each category and have included an 'about me' section in my homepage. I decided to use weebly.com for my EP because it was extremely simple to use. My current issue is deciding whether or not to use my teaching philosophy as an additional category or to choose something else. Otherwise, it is coming along quite well!
Status Report 3 (10/19)
My EP is coming along very well. I have all my artifacts that I have already created posted as well as at least a short introduction to each individual artifact. I am still contemplating using my teaching philosophy as an additional category, so I have in included. I may take it out later, though. Otherwise, I think it looks pretty great! I am also quite glad that I have so much done on it. The main things I need to add now our my unit plan that I obviously haven't created yet, my outsiders project video that hasn't been made yet, and my teaching video which once again hasn't been made yet!

I have been making minor changes to my EP including adding more to the descriptions of my artifacts, but otherwise my EP is basically finished with the exception of artifacts I am unable to add yet such as my unit plan.

My EP is practically done. I continue to make minor edits on it, but I can't do much for the time being. The things I want to add have not yet been created, such as my unit plan or my student teaching abroad.
